NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022/PRNewswire-- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans during July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States were in Israel during August 2022.
Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States is our most important destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Canada is also on track, as the United States, to surpass the amount of tourists that visit Israel. In July 2022, Canada saw 7,200 tourists and August witnessed 6,600.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from around the world including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening for any traveler regardless of vaccination status in May this year Israel has seen more than 600,400 US travelers.
